San Diego Pride

Saturday, July 18 & Sunday, July 19, 2020

Pride was not created out of a need to celebrate. Pride was created out of a response to trauma. Pride was created to galvanize our community in solidarity and strength. Pride is led by compassionate, bright, and determined community volunteers who bring their whole selves in service to our LGBTQ community. Pride connects us, not only to one another, but to vital services, resources, and opportunities for joy.

Volunteers are needed in 3 Different Categories:

  • INFORMATION BOOTH VOLUNTEERS: Volunteers will answer questions; give directions to guests; hand out event maps, entertainment schedule, vendor information; and manage the Lost and Found.
  • MERCHANDISE BOOTH VOLUNTEERS: Volunteers will monitor the sale of official Pride and entertainer's merchandise, monitor the cash and credit card box, and provide assistance where needed.
  • GUEST RELATIONS VOLUNTEERS: Volunteers will serve as "Pride Ambassadors" to festival guests.  They will be visible; roving inside and outside the festival assisting where needed, handing out material, answering questions/giving directions to festival guests.  Volunteers will basically be the eyes and ears of San Diego Pride staff.
