After 34 years, Jonathan McMullen retired in 2007 from his Federal career having held positions with the FBI, U.S. Office of Personnel Management, and the Export-Import Bank of the United States. Jonathan likes to say that he graduated from the University of Life Experiences; starting out as a clerk and retiring as a Director at the Ex-Im Bank.
In 2014, Jonathan and his partner relocated from Washington DC to San Diego, California, where they enjoy living their platinum retirement years. Both are heavily involved in their community volunteering at the San Diego Museum of Art, The LGBT Community Center of San Diego, and Volunteer with Cheli. They enjoy hiking, biking, and traveling here at home and abroad; enjoy tending to their many rock, cacti, and flower gardens. Volunteering is their way of giving back to their community for the wonderful lives they have been blessed with; in hopes of making a positive difference in the world.
